Junk Food Guy (Kinda) Seeking: Ben & Jerry’s Limited Batch Pumpkin Cheesecake Ice Cream & Today in Sports: WTF McQueery???
Junk Food Nation, I finally had a chance to sit and take a gander at Sportscenter, and just had to comment on a few sports-related things:
(1) Now the reports are coming out that McQueery DIDN’T call the police. Holy eff. What tangled lies we weave, PSU. Just wipe the staff clean and get it over with – this whole circus is disgusting.
(2) The Astros are moving from the NL to the AL???? Selig, what the hell, man??? This will put 15 teams in the AL and 15 in the NL, guaranteeing interleague play throughout the whole season – and will even everything out by putting exactly 5 teams in every division. I get it. Mathematically, it makes sense. Still, all that history in the NL…severed! Plus, I hate how it was attached to the sale of a team, and used as leverage. Boo. But whatever – I really don’t care that much. The last exciting Astros team I liked had Bagwell, Biggio, Jose Lima, and Mike effing Hampton. That was…almost 10 years ago. Shoot me.
(3) On Monday Nov. 21, Justin Verlander SHOULD win the AL MVP, marking the first time a pitcher has won both the Cy Young and MVP in the same season since Dennis Eckersley in 1992, and the first starter since Roger Clemens in 1986. Why? Because regardless if your argument is that the MVP is the best player in baseball or that the MVP is the player who matters most to his team’s success, Verlander was both. He the best pitcher in the AL (and arguably in all of baseball this year), leading the Majors in wins (24), innings (251) and strikeouts (250), paced the AL in ERA (2.40) and throwing a no-hitter to boot. And with regard to the Tigers, he was responsible for 24 of the Tigers’ 95 wins. That’s one player, over 25% of the team’s wins. Amazing.
That’s enough of that. Let’s talk about the next Ben & Jerry’s concoction I’m seeking: Ben & Jerry’s Limited Batch Pumpkin Cheesecake Ice Cream!
To tell the truth, the reason I’m only “kinda” seeking this is because I know where it is. I know where it is because my sister texted me this picture and told me which grocery store to buy it at. I’m cheating, sort of. Wait, no I’m not – I make the rules in this game! Ben & Jerry’s Limited Batch Pumpkin Cheesecake Ice Cream, you shall be mine. Harris Teeter, you’re in my sights.
Pumpkin is one of my favorite flavors, and the only thing I could think of when I saw this picture was NOOOOOOOOOM. NOM NOM. NOM NOM NOM.
I enjoy a nice thick slice of pumpkin pie, and if it’s ala mode, even better. So that’s exactly what I imagine this Pumpkin Cheesecake Ice Cream to taste like – a frozen blend of pumpkin pie, vanilla ice cream, and graham cracker crust. And trust me – when I get my hands on this tub, there’s gonna be a cage match – in my mouth. And this ice cream will lose.
Thoughts? Tell me in the comments below or hit me on Twitter @junkfoodguy or on my Facebook Page.
Sincerely, Junk Food Guy

It’s worth a try, but I wish Carrot Cake was still around – that’s worth stocking up.
