Junk Food Guy Seeking: Doritos JACKED Ranch Dipped Hot Wing Chips & Happy Birthday Krispy Kreme!

Junk Food Nation, earlier this month, Krispy Kreme opened the New York Stock Exchange to celebrate National Donut Day and Krispy Kreme’s 75th Anniversary:

Must be nice, watching the economy spiral as you munch on free donuts.  Less eating, more helping us out! I keed, I keed.

Turns out, however, that TODAY is actually Krispy Kreme’s birthday.  In celebration of that, Krispy Kreme has a deal: Buy one dozen donuts, get a second for 75 cents.  WOW.  The question is – do I NEED 24 donuts for ~$5?  The answer is: WHO DOESN’T???  Anyone wanna join me at the DC Dupont Circle location to see how many donuts we can eat in a row before we fall asleep?   Any takers?

In the meantime, I wanted to also take today to throw out another “Junk Food Guy Seeking”: Earlier this year I reviewed JACKED Doritos…both the Enchilada Supreme kind and the Smoky Chipotle BQ version.  I was happy.  You were happy.  We were all happy.  Until Doctor Sis showed me a magazine ad that featured a THIRD flavor: Doritos JACKED Ranch Dipped Hot Wing Chips!

Junk Food Guy Seeking: Doritos JACKED Ranch Dipped Hot Wing Chips

These are the few and sparse pictures I could find on the internet.  And since that faithful day, I have been looking for these EVERYWHERE.  I MEAN EVERYWHERE.  Supermarkets, grocery stores, Walmart, Target, malls, small shops, gas stations – NADDA!  I’ve become desperate.

Am I so desperate that I would repeat the conquest I undertook to find the Rainbow “Shure, Bert” Oreos? Maybe. Maybe I would…If I only knew where the hell these Doritos were.  So please, Junk Food Nation – tell me where you’ve seen these Doritos JACKED Ranch Dipped Hot Wing Chips. I will travel. I will find them. I will eat them.  And it will be good.

If anyone works at Doritos that reads this blog? Send a few my way, please? Because I’m about to lose my mind with frustration. When I find something I am looking for in the grocery aisle, I dance a little jig.  When it’s not there, I just look at the snack aisle like a jilted lover. “Just get away from me,” I think as those other bags of chips/cookies stare right back at me.

Thoughts? Please comment below (I always reply) or hit me up on Twitter @junkfoodguy or LIKE my Facebook Page and message me there. Also, you can always email me at junkfoodguy@junkfoodguy.com. Let’s hang out.

Sincerely, Junk Food Guy

I found some about a month ago at my local Walmart and when trying them for the first time i was blown away! I became addicted to the Ranch / Hot Wing flavor! After about a week the bag was empty and i tried looking for them again but I could only find the other flavors, not the Ranch Dipped Hot Wings.

Just today (8/11/12) I see they restocked my little addiction.

I am DESPERATELY looking for them too. I had 2 bags a couple months ago and they are AWESOME!! MUCH better than the other two. I’m so sad they don’t stock this flavor anymore–I’ve even emailed Frito Lay to request.

Funny story I found a bag at FredMeyer here in Portland only one on the shelf. they were amazing. reminds me of eating chili cheese fritos smothered in a glass of buttermilk like cereal. my family has been doing it for decades. hooked give it a shot. very similar

There are a few at the Kroger in Short Pump, Richmond, VA. Kinda far to drive for you, but still pretty close to D.C. Closer thsn Arizona at least ;p And they are SPICY

  7. $6.67 a bag, yes, that’s for three bags, we have to pay Amazon commission on each sale, that is why food on Amazon is so high. It’s essentially the cost of getting the items to you. All grocers on Amazon tend to have high prices to accormodate the commission that Amazon takes from it’s sellers. Sorry.

  8. Excuse us, $6.65 per bag. We just wanted to let you know there were some available. That’s all.

I just bought some at Samsclub. I started a “likes” page for them on facebook. I will do the same for the blazin buffalo & ranch they had on the market, then brought back to life through a Subway promotion.

I have found these at the Giant in York, PA. I first saw them at work yesterday and knew I had to try them. I work for a distribution company and we ship to all of the Giant stores in PA and Maryland. They shipper displays are being shipped now and probably for a couple more days, so if your up for a little drive you should be able to find them at Giant and maybe Stop & Shop.

    • junkfoodguy says:

@Nate: Maybe they have new distribution now, since a bunch of people are reporting their availability now. SO EXCITED TO FIND THESE!

Hey junkfoodguy! Will you let me poop on your chest?

  13. ShayDaDon says:

I don’t even like hot wings but for the love of God these chips are the SHIT! The ranch flavor is so profound and work so well with the hot wings. The hot taste isn’t overbearing and unlike those flaming hot Cheetos these chips don’t leave a nasty aftertaste later. They’re now readily available here in Columbus, Ohio and I’m steady working through an entire bag at the moment. YUM!!!
