Review: Hannah Max Baking Sea Salted Peanut Butter All-Natural Crunchy Cookie Chips & College Basketball Teams Hate Being No. 1
Junk Food Nation, I love March Madness, so as the weeks get closer to the Big Dance, I am always more and more interested in seeing who is the top dog. Who will end the season No. 1? Being a Kansas Jayhawks fan, I was quite bitter when they lost to Oklahoma State on Saturday. Quite bitter indeed.
But I cannot be as bitter as teams that have held the #1 spot over the past few weeks. For the past five weeks, basically since the New Year, as SOON as a team grabs the AP No. 1 ranking – they LOSE. LOSE LOSE LOSE. It’s like these teams can’t WAIT to get rid of that Number One title. “Ewwww, number one…get away from me, you have cooties.”
Duke had it, big loss vs. NC State – Louisville had it, got upended by the Cuse – Duke had it again, got drummed by Miami by like 30 points – then Michigan, who got beat by Indiana, who is now numero uno again. Why do these top teams lose? Can’t stand the pressure? Finally playing and losing to decent competition? GET IT TOGETHER.
Indiana is looking to not let go, having held the #1 spot for the first six weeks. Good luck, Hoosiers. At least you’re not Kentucky.

So I ripped open the bag and smelled. VERY VERY PEANUT BUTTERY. Right off the bat, these Hannah Max Baking Sea Salted Peanut Butter All-Natural Crunchy Cookie Chips had me. GREAT peanut butter smell – not just a general cookie smell or sugary smell. EXTRA PEANUT BUTTERY – like I just twisted open a jar of peanut butter. Now for a taste…

These Hannah Max Baking Sea Salted Peanut Butter All-Natural Crunchy Cookie Chips were really tasty. Earth shattering? Honestly, not to me…but they were really very good.
First, the peanut butter flavor was unmistakable. Nice and bold, full of great peanut flavor. Plus, the use of crunchy peanut butter meant there were little pieces of peanut everywhere, which gave the overall texture a nice crunch.
The dough was nice and sweet and buttery – a nice cookie flavor. Overall, the flavor was of a good, creamy, buttery, classic peanut butter cookie. Did I notice the extra sea salt? Maybe a little – a few pings of salt here and there to increase the sweetness.
The texture was good – indeed, these were thin and crispy, but didn’t just shatter and crumble everywhere. Just a light crunchy cookie. I didn’t really think of these as chips, per se – they felt more like thin crispy cookies – but for what they were, they tasted very good.
Overall, a solid effort. A good product, done right.

Thanks for the reveiw. Ive been putting these in and taking them out of my cart everytime I go into the Safeway. Now I have to try them!
@Q: Yeah, these were pretty good. Like I said – nothing Earth shattering but I think they were pretty tasty.
I don’t think I understand these. Are they just a really thin and crispy cookie? I prefer chewy, so I suspect I’d not be in favor of these. I think I’d just be wondering why someone made such thin cookies and overcooked them.
Tastes like a cookie, eats like a chip? So did you eat the whole bag of them with a sandwich?
I will say I’m glad they don’t put their eggs in cages. Eggs hate that.
@A. Dana: It is a thin and crispy cookie which is not unlike someone who spreads their cookie dough too thin and overcooks them. I like chew, but I don’t mind crunchy cookies. Did not eat like a chip, though maybe I should’ve put some of these on a PB&J 🙂
These would be great on top of a bowl of ice cream!
Though they had a picture of seven cookies on the back but only three other flavors listed? Are we supposed to guess the other flavors?
@Teresa, I was thinking the same thing about ice cream but a different use.
@JFG, would you say these are stury enough to dip into ice cream kind of like a dessert take on chips and dip? If so, I think I need to go find these cookies.
@Nick: No, def NOT strong enough to scoop ice cream. But I did say they would be good WITH ice cream – like having a spoonful of ice cream with a piece of cookie on it. Or maybe spoon the ice cream ONTO the cookie, and then munch. But yeah – if you tried to scoop with these, I think they’d break easily.

I tried the cinnamon sugar ones today and I have to say, these are just the yummiest cookies. Love how thin sugary and crisp they are. LOVE! I’m really looking forward to trying the peanut better too.

My Husband and I bought the Cinnamon and Sugar and Peanut butter at Safeway to try them out. they were $3.99 a bag. They had all natural ingredients and made in the USA so we decided why not let’s just see how good they are. Well….. The peanut butter cookies are gone! I am hiding the cinnamon sugar ones for me! We LOVE them. I would highly recommend them and they actually satisfy the nagging urge for a snack!!!
