Review: Ciao Bella Sea Salt Caramel Gelato Squares (A So Good Exclusive!)
Junk Food Nation, this post is so late, and for that, I apologize. It was a rough weekend of watching basketball, drinking beer, gambling in Atlantic City – you know, important things. Today, work hit me like a ton of bricks, and despite my best efforts, I just couldn’t keep up. I promise to make it all up to you with a big ole blog post tomorrow morning.
In the meantime, I wrote another review over on So Good about a product from one of my favorite companies, Ciao Bella. I just reviewed their Key Lime Gelato Squares last week! Check out this preview of my post:

Happy Monday, So Good readers! Just your friendly neighborhood Junk Food Guy here, exhausted after watching an estimated 30 combined hours of basketball over the past four days. This week, I’d like to review a product from Ciao Bella, a very tasty gelato company. I met some of their folks at the Summer Fancy Food Show last year, and was impressed. When I saw these Ciao Bella Sea Salt Caramel Gelato Squares, I knew they had to be mine.
Ciao Bella Sea Salt Caramel Gelato Squares, made with sea salt caramel gelato, caramel and chocolate swirl, and standard chocolate cookie exterior, looked AMAZING in my grocer’s freezer. Though not the same flavor profile, the construction of these squares reminds me of the 7-11 7-select S’mores Ice Cream Sandwich.

MUST. HAVE. NOW.
@Nick: Yeah, these were legit
Love Ciao Bella Gelato Squares – Sea Salt Caramel! Really nice to find ice cream or sweets made w/cane sugar and real vanilla extract. Great low calorie and yummy!
@Jody: ARE these low calorie?? lol. It’s not so low calorie when you eat the entire box in one serving. Like me 😉
I just found some at my local Grocery Outlet and I couldn’t resist grabbing a box. Even though it says sea salt caramel, it tasted more like coffee to me. Also, it was suuuuper sweet. I had to chug a cup of water afterwards to get rid of the overwhelming sweetness. I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy this flavor at regular price, maybe if it was on sale. I don’t know, perhaps the other flavors are much better, and they just dropped the ball on this one.
